Spike Tyson - A game for the GameBoy Advanced
The little black pig Spike is trapped in a temple during his holiday. In this crazy, abstract world he is set upon by mythical enemies. Armed with only his boxing gloves, Spike has to fight his way out. You can download the game as a Windows executable here.

Full Circle - An edutainment project for the Floriade
An educational game for the University of Wageningen for the Floriade (the world’s largest agricultural show). For their butterfly shaped pavilion, they wanted something to inform and educate people about their ‘human footprint’. We built a game in which visitors could experience the effects of their consuming patterns. The impact of their behaviour was visualised in an island, which grew or shrunk and changed shape, depending on their choices. A fragment of the game:

The Hat in the Box - An interactive installation for children
Children aged 5-7 often have difficulty with relative positions such as ‘behind’, ‘next to’ and ‘under’. With the animated character ‘Fido’ as a guide, this installation helps children understand the concept of relative positions of one object (the hat) to another (the box).

PINC - Video trailers
PINC is a conference in the style of TED where speakers from diverse disciplines discuss various topics based on one of the four teams: People, Inspiration, Nature and Creativity. For the past 5 conferences we have made the leaders to introduce the sessions. The innovative nature of the conferences give us the opportunity to freely experiment with form and technique. Here is one of the trailers:

Unsubscribe - Creative Jam-Sessions
Once a year, in a single day, you can UnSubscribe. A day in which free experimentation without financial, logical or professional limits is allowed. The process is most important during this day.
There have been six editions of UnSubscribe so far. Themes included ‘The T-Shirt Outsider’, ‘Creative Rally’ and ‘Blank Canvas’. At the end of the day all the work is put up and discussed over pizza and beer. UnSubscribe: A sandbox for creative minds.

Big Stories - A career project for children
During a what-to-do-when-I-grow-up workshop for elementary-school children I came up with the idea to involve children in the creative process. I spoke about creativity as a career path. 17 children drew whatever they want. I then invited 17 professional writers to write a story inspired by and to accompany the pictures. Together they made up the Big Story Book, which is now used as a reading book at the Dutch School in Nairobi. A few images from this project:

ClayStation - A new kind of board game
ClayStation is a prototype for a board-game. The aim of the game is to, based on a hint, create part of an object using clay in 30 seconds. This object can be part of an animal, a scene from a film or a person. Every turn the board rotates 90 degrees and the next player adds onto the shape. After one round (four turns), a player can guess what the object is or represents. After three rounds the player with the most points wins.
